About the Programme

Design thinking is a human-centred, interdisciplinary approach to innovation and creative problem-solving. It has been gaining in popularity in recent years and has been adopted by many companies compelled to innovate to stay relevant and competitive. This 1-hour session will give you a quick overview of the design thinking process, mindset and commonly used tools.

The growing popularity of design thinking is largely a result of increasing number of successful products and services that have great understanding of the target users’ needs. Design thinking introduces a 5-phase structured approach to problem-solving and innovation that focuses on the needs of people.  We will explore the purpose of each phase within the design thinking process and discuss how activities and tools such as brainstorming and empathy map can help in the development of products and services that will delight users.
