The advancement in technology are creating both opportunities and challenges. Singapore’s Smart Nation initiatives aim to harness technology and improve how people and business live, work and play. In this 1-hour sharing, you will see examples of projects leveraging on data, sensors, and even robotics in areas such as estate maintenance and healthcare. We also will discuss the disruptions arising from the emergence of new technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and ride-hiring apps, and understand how these challenges are generating new jobs and innovations.
About the speaker
Mr Teh Ah Hock, Specialist (Internet of Things) and Senior Lecturer at Nanyang Polytechnic, is an experienced educator of 20 years. He brings with him a wealth of experience in leading, designing and developing of software systems, and is involved in numerous industrial collaborations and projects in Internet of Things (IoT).
