Music Therapy is the systematic and evidence-based use of music to achieve individualized therapeutic outcomes within the context of a therapeutic relationship by a credentialed professional (American Music Therapy Association).

It is an emerging allied health profession in Singapore.

This seminar will introduce you to the reasons why music therapy exists, who may benefit from it, how it looks/sounds like, how it is like to work with a music therapist, and the training requirements to become a music therapist.

1. Provide an overview of Music Therapy
2. Music Therapy Definitions, Misconceptions, Foundations
3. Wide applications of Music Therapy with selected client populations
4. Music Therapy in Singapore

Please note that this is an Introductory Workshop to Music Therapy. Attending this course will not qualify you to work as an music therapist.
