"Invisible Voices"
Directed by Liu Longhao
A financially successful Singaporean living at Sentosa Cove, Kavan Lim, who has no previous encounter with migrant workers, agreed to embark on a journey with the production team to know more about this group of people in Singapore. Through interactions with migrant workers of different nationalities, he got to know the lives and voices of these people who are largely present in Singapore society but are often treated as an unseen community.
"Come Fly Away With Me"
Directed by Martin Hong
Roy (20) is a hot-tempered People's Republic of China (PRC) immigrant who works at a 24-hour café at the airport. One night, he meets Kim (late 30s), a beautiful Singaporean stewardess with a strange request for him. Through this single encounter, the two of them share an unlikely connection that will change both their perceptions of race and social statuses.
"Existence"
Directed by Jeanette Lim, Yan Jun Hua, Audrey Woon, Wallace Woon
Some workers dream of starting their own business. Others want to build a future for their children and their generations to come. As different as they may be, these workers are all driven by the same raison d’être – family. Existence is a reflective documentary on the lives of Bangladeshi workers in Singapore. Through a series of phone calls and interviews, we peek into the lives of these unassuming workers."
"What is Labour Day Like in Singapore?"
By Ministry of Funny
Labour Day was created for Labourers, but do they actually get to enjoy the holiday? This made us think about what they go through on a day to day basis, and we wanted to find out more about who they are as people. Because they are people after all, right?
