About the Programme/Event

Interested in learning how to create your very own Chatbot? Want to explore how a Chatbot can impact your daily life? Join our Chatbot-making challenge and meet like-minded folks in this new learning community! Our challenge for the month is to create a Chatbot librarian that is based on a fictional character.

By the end of the program, you should be able to develop similar or better chatbots than these: https://chatbot.university/index-t.html.

No prior programming experience is required. Imagination and ingenuity are mandatory.

WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?

  • 9 self-paced and bite-sized lessons focused on getting you to build chatbots. We will also provide a Telegram Group for participants to ask questions to AI Experts and interact with other bot creators.
  • Each lesson ends with a “hack” challenge that helps you to amend or improve your chatbot. Your chatbot will evolve as you learn more skills and techniques in the lessons.

WHY LEARN CHATBOTS?

  • Computational Thinking: You will learn how to break down a problem into smaller pieces to come up with a solution. This is a valuable skill when you tackle real-life challenges.
  • Creative Thinking Skills: Building your own chatbot is a fun and creative process. You will be trained to think deeper about understanding your audience and making the interaction engaging to its users.
  • Confidence: The "hack" sessions are fun activities that encourage you to come up with your own designs. We've seen adults overcome their "computing phobia" too since we break things down into their simplest form.

This programme is for library members aged 16 and above. A laptop with an internet connection is required to access the e-learning content. Participants will be required to communicate via Telegram thereafter. More details will be shared in the programme.
