398.2 Storytelling Festival 2021 is back with exciting, new sessions! Be enchanted by these fascinating fairy tales and folktales.

398.2 Storytelling Festival 2021 is back with exciting, new sessions! Be enchanted by the fascinating stories as our talented storytellers whisk you and your family away on extraordinary adventures. Let the world of fairy tales and folktales mesmerize and enthral you!  

This festival is brought to you by Storytelling Association (Singapore) and Public Libraries Singapore.

This programme is suitable for children aged 4 to 9 years old.

Please note the following:•    This programme will be livestreamed from Zoom. •    There will not be any storyteller conducting the programme onsite. Staff onsite will only assist with crowd management and ensure that safe management measures are adhered to.•    All participants including adults to register for a ticket. Each ticket admits 1 person only. Parents to register separate tickets for themselves and their children.•    Children must be accompanied by an adult during Storytime for 4-6 years old. 1 adult can accompany up to 3 children.•    Children must be seated at designated spots with their parents/caregivers at all times.•    Participants must arrive 10 minutes before the session commences. Seats of late attendees will be given to those on the waitlist. •    Children below 6 years old are strongly encouraged to wear face masks or face shields.•    NLB reserves the right to deny entry to participants who do not abide by the ground rules

Theme: The Underwater Daughter Courter  Come listen to three tales of the deep dark sea, inhabited by a crab with magical, wandering eyes, a turtle who marries a princess and a war, which will require your participation (you will be recruited!) between whales and seabirds that threatens the future of the entire blue planet. 

About the StorytellersRoger Jenkins Roger founded the 398.2 Festival in 2015. He is delighted to continue as a performer, sharing stories in his conversational and often comical style.

Nancy Leppard Nancy loves seeing the smiles and the glow on the faces of her audience when they are listening to stories.

Helen Tan Helen, a school counsellor and professional storyteller, enjoys telling stories for all ages--ranging from pre-schoolers to adults. She uses stories to heal, inspire and motivate her listeners.

Sheila Wee Sheila is a storyteller, a storytelling teacher and a founding director of the Federation of Asian Storytellers (FEAST), as well as a former president of the Storytelling Association (Singapore).
