398.2 Storytelling Festival 2021 is back with exciting, new sessions! Be enchanted by the fascinating stories as our talented storytellers whisk you and your family away on extraordinary adventures. Let the world of fairy tales and folktales mesmerize and enthral you!  

This festival is brought to you by Storytelling Association (Singapore) and Public Libraries Singapore.

This programme is suitable for children aged 4 to 9 years old.

 

Theme: Tales of Our Fine Feathered Friends

Follow our fine feathered friends in this folktale fiesta. Meet a rooster that wants its horns back, another one that teaches a greedy sultan a lesson and guineafowls who can make anyone dance. 

About the Storytellers

Karen Lee

 Karen believes that stories have the ability to engage the mind and the heart--- bringing us into different worlds and binding us all together in intimate understanding of each other’s hearts.

Akila Krishnakumar 

Akila embarked on a self-discovery journey when she discovered the joy of reading after having spent 15 years in the IT industry. Now, she wants to spread this joy with others by sharing stories she loves.

Roger Jenkins 

Roger founded the 398.2 Storytelling Festival in 2015. He is delighted To be able to continue playing a part as a performer, sharing stories in his uniquely conversational and often comical style.

Please note the following:• This programme will be livestreamed from Zoom. • There will not be any storyteller conducting the programme onsite. Staff onsite will only assist with crowd management and ensure that safe management measures are adhered to.• All participants including adults to register for a ticket. Each ticket admits 1 person only. Parents to register separate tickets for themselves and their children.• Children must be accompanied by an adult during Storytime for 4-6 years old. 1 adult can accompany up to 3 children.• Children must be seated at designated spots with their parents/caregivers at all times.• Participants must arrive 10 minutes before the session commences. Seats of late attendees will be given to those on the waitlist. • Children below 6 years old are strongly encouraged to wear face masks or face shields.• NLB reserves the right to deny entry to participants who do not abide by the ground rules
