Information and Communications Technology (ICT) is transforming global supply chains, but the real question is this: Is the pace of transformation fast enough?

With over-population and resource exploitation coupled with environmental degradation and climate change, there is an urgent need for more cooperative, coordinated and collaborative supply chains to improve efficiencies and address the 40-60% of waste that occurs within supply chains.

Additionally, traceability is needed to create demand pull scenarios for sustainably and responsibly-produced products and services. With most of our food coming from developing nations, Ecohub examines the barriers and the opportunities presented by the digital revolution to address these challenges, and the part EcoHub is playing.

The session will cover these key areas:

  • Supply chains and traceability

  • The roles of ICT, IOT and Big Data in global supply chains

  • The importance of digital inclusion
