What is this programme about?

Learning circles owe its origin to Study Circles. The concept and practice of the study circle appeared in the late nineteenth century Europe. The concept later developed in early 20th century Sweden where today study circles are a mass phenomenon and have broad national support. In Sweden the tradition of study circles is supported by the state and they are very well organized. Research have shown the communication among people of different background, their discussion of various topics strengthens democratic and cultural processes. Around 300,000 circles have been reported each year since the 1970s. They are also being employed as a change process and development activity within corporations.

The core principles of learning circles include equality of participants and absence of traditional hierarchy: a teacher to students. It means that both study circle leader (or facilitator) and participants carry responsibilities for preparing materials for the sessions, setting the aims and organizing the work, thereby creating a good balance between knowledge acquisition and communication. The process is organized and planned, with learning aims being defined by the participants and they bear the responsibility for reaching these aims cooperatively.

The goals of these learning sessions is to support you in the digital transformation of your training and learning through a hands-on, practical and entrepreneurial learning journey. Over a period of two weeks, fifteen topics are digitally-facilitated onsite and asynchronous online. Virtual and onsite coaching sessions are scheduled for additional support.

The learning journey is divided into two parts:

- Part I covers digital on-boarding, background, mindset, DIY start, creating a learning circle, building digital content, social media marketing, go to market, leveraging, etc.

- Part II is your launch event and it serves as an extension and the desired outcome of Part I whereby you put the acquired skills into actual practice in front of your ‘live’ audience.

A complete list of topics is available at www.bit.ly/AEESingapore

The key success factor in this entrepreneurial journey is your own intrinsic motivation to productize and go-to market with your digital learning circle. Collectively, let’s discover it.
