About this event
Japanese comic (also known as MANGA) is a popular art form globally and ANIME is the animated version of MANGA. Anime and Manga are unique, creative and being attraction to both children, youth and adult.
The Manga Anime Drawing Course is designed for participants to become proficient in sketching and colouring techniques using coloured pencils and permanent markers. Participants will explore the popular Manga culture & learn its creative fun world of comic drawing. Participants shall explore their personal creativity to create attractive Manga drawings.

Astroboy, Sailormoon, Spirited Away, Naruto, Pokemon, Doraemon, Demo Slayers, etc.. In this course, learn the drawing techniques about this unique art form. Come and have fun learning the art of Japanese style Manga and Anime characters. "
Course Outline (Topics Covered)
Session 1: Introduction and overview of Manga Anime industry , To Practice different human Manga face features
Session 2: To learn the different type of Manga Anime eyes and Expression. To practice Manga Anime eyes and Expression
Session 3: To learn how to draw a full Manga body with proportion & Practice drawing of a full Manga body
Session 4: To learn how to do draw different Manga Anime characters & To practice Manga Anime characters
Session 5: To understand what is Chibi features in Manga Anime & To practice Chibi character drawing
Session 6: To learn how to draw classic Male Character Costume & To practice Manga Character Costume
Session 7: To learn how to draw classic Female character costume & To practice Manga female character in costume
Session 8: To learn how to do colouring in Manga Anime & To practice Manga Anime colouring

Course Fee: $280 |$56 for seniors eligible for National Silver Academy (NSA) subsidy*
*NSA subsidy is for Singaporeans and Permanent Residents aged 50 and above.
- In addition to NSA subsidy, course fee may be offset by SkillsFuture Credit (SFC).
- First, course participants are to make payment for the course through Brahm Centre Eventbrite page.
- They should claim with SFC before the course start date through the SkillsFuture portal.
- Brahm Centre will reimburse the amount that is successfully claimed upon receipt of the funds from SFC.
Notes:
- Please note that payments for courses are non-refundable.
- There are no make-up lessons if you miss any session.
- If you miss the first session, you are allowed to proceed with the course. However, the trainer is not obligated to do a recap during the second session.
- If you miss both the first and second sessions, you will not be allowed to proceed with the course
Trainer Bio
Mr. Lee Thiam Seng (Paul) is an artist, art therapist and consultant. Mr. Lee founded UniqArts and Technologies in 1995 with a passion in art, creativity and wellness. Mr. Lee holds Masters of Art in Art Therapy from LaSalle College of the Arts and a Business Management Degree with Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT), Australia. He also received a certificate in Art with Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA). Mr. Lee is registered with Ministry of Education (MOE) under Arts and Music Instructors Scheme (AIMS).
He is also a certified trainer with People Association (PA) for Creative Art course. Mr. Lee is an art teacher (part-time) with United World College of South East Asian (UWCSEA – International School). He is also an Art trainer and coach for ACS (Independent) school. Mr. Lee is the developer and trainer for the in-house ARTeach Teachers Training Course. Mr. Lee has won several prizes in Singapore national art competitions. Many of his students have performed exceptional well in art, some of winners of art competitions for both national and international.
Mr. Lee has experience and mastered several art medium such as pencils, charcoal, Watercolour, Chinese Brush painting, Caricature, Portraiture, Origami, Pastels, Arcylic, Anime Manga, etc. Mr. Lee has been running Art as therapy and in therapy for individual, group, corporations, schools, hospitals and community.
