The workshop, titled: "Marketing Your Startup, Activating Your Communities" is an 8 hours, intensive, hands on workshop.
❥ Why we created it
Marketing for your startup is no child’s game. There are many theories and case studies and many methodologies to go about it but all of them have one common challenge: all these methods teach you how to define your “target audiences” and grab their attention with segmented storytelling but is there an individual story for an individual demographic? Do different people only look at different stories?
Often “Marketing strategy” and “business growth (or growth hacking) strategy” are perceived as two different things, aimed at different goals but they can be integrated into a single Content Marketing strategy.
❥ What’s different about the workshop
Entertainment Content Engagement Strategy, honed over years of working with renowned entertainment studios and companies, is a new and different approach that is based on a unique model developed by Lauric Strategy+ Marketing.
In this workshop you will get a chance to experience the model, learn about a different, community based, approach to marketing and business development, and practice perfecting your pitch and story, unifying it to one consistent and relevant message to all your communities.
❥ What is Entertainment Content Engagement Strategy?
This strategy is a customized mixture of services that is crafted for each and every client individually. It is not seen from a service-based perspective. Instead it looks at the whole business model from a very different angle, one that is focused on Communities, Experiences and Personalities.
As a public relations manager in an affiliate marketing company of a film production studio ten years ago, Shilee’s responsibilities included aligning the products and services of external customers to fit the requirements of the production assets. That was when she noticed that there was a gap for startups and even established brands whom she was convinced would gain wider traction if they had specially crafted content revolving wholly around their product.
Entertainment Content Engagement Strategy begins with identifying the communities of a business, the insights into the personalities of the people that makes up the communities, learning their language, the places they “hang in” (online and offline), their actual needs from the client’s business or brand, and from there stimulate the business growth process through a series of manufactured experiences and emotional connection.
In the entertainment business, we deploy anthropomorphism and the anthropomorphic character becomes the Brand that represent the product, services or the company itself. The lines between reality and fantasy get blurred when we add to the anthropomorphic character the attributes of the product, the service or the values of the company and then give it a voice, asking ourselves this question: What if my product or service had emotions and what would it do and what would it say to me? The power of anthropomorphism is such that it activates the communities and utilize what the industry calls HX (Human Experience) to create, sustain, promote or rejuvenate businesses and their brands.
In effect, breaking down this concept eventually involves a list or a mix of traditional services, like content writing, social media management, community management, PR, inbound marketing, campaigns, influencer marketing and much more where they extend the Brand’s reach and reinforce the loyalty of the communities.
We could offer our clients a “menu” of services from which they can choose but by not making such a list, we’ve realized that by providing them with all tools that we possess, we can offer them solutions that grow their business so much more.
