About the Programme

There is no health without mental health. Mental health includes our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects how we think feel and act. Learning how to sustain good mental health enables us to realise our potential, cope with normal stresses of life and eventually leading a more meaningful life. 

About the Speaker 

Ms Yeung E-linProgramme Executive, Community Resource Engagement and Support Team (CREST) programme, Community Mental Health Department, Fei Yue Community Services

E-lin is a CREST case worker specialising in providing mental health care for individuals aged 40 years and above and their families. She has delivered outreach talks to partners in the community, raising awareness on mental health to members of the public through collaborations with grassroots organisations, corporate organisations as well as other social service agencies. On top of public speaking, E-lin is also involved in networking with relevant stakeholders to coordinate mental health trainings and workshops.

Prior to her role in CREST, E-lin was previously a social worker in the Family Service Centre and was involved in community work. She also holds a Bachelor of Social Work and has received training in Intentional Interviewing and Counselling.

Through her experience and education in the field, E-lin appreciates having the privilege to journey with families and individuals from various age groups and working with them on improving their life situations. She strives to align herself with social work values and views every client she journeys with as a unique individual with personal strengths and resources.

About the Series

Mental Health for Working Adults is a new series by the Public Libraries and its partners that equips professionals with the tools to understand and nurture mental wellness amid the challenges of working life.
