Build Ethereum DApps on Metis Layer 2 for a chance to win a share of the $1M $METIS prize pool!

About this event

We are thrilled to announce that the Metis Hackathon is finally here for you!

All developers are invited to participate and build Ethereum DApps or migrate existing DApps to Metis Layer 2 for a chance to win a share of the $1 million $METIS prize pool! Appy Here!

Are you a project owner and want to showcase your project during the Hackathon?

Metis will soon start announcing major partners for the first-ever Metis Hackathon.

Projects looking to join our list of partners may do so by contributing bounties to the Metis Hackathon. Those projects will in turn gain speaker and judge privileges for the Hackathon, and may also be invited to join the Metis Ecosystem Development Program, gaining all the tech, funding, and marketing benefits that come with it.

About Metis:

Based on the spirit of Optimistic Rollup, Metis is building an easy-to-use, highly scalable, low-cost, and fully functional Layer 2 framework (Metis Rollup) to fully support the application and business migration from Web 2.0 to Web 3.0. Its scalable protocol supports a wide range of use cases, including yield farming, DEX trading, and powering the gig economy via dApps that offer cheap and fast micropayments.

Metis integrates the Decentralized Autonomous Company (DAC) framework within its Layer 2 infrastructure, a differentiating factor that makes it easy for any developers, builders, or community leaders to build their applications and communities. It also makes it easy to use the pre-set tools to facilitate their development, manage collaboration, and enjoy the network effects of the world’s largest decentralized finance ecosystem, without the costs and bottlenecks normally associated with Ethereum.

Metis’ goal is to make building dApps and DACs on its platform so easy to do, even total blockchain novices can make it happen in a matter of minutes.

Organiser MetisLabs Foundation

Organiser of Metis Hackathon

MetisLab Foundation is an organization that builds Metis protocol - A Layer2(Rollup) infrastructure and a platform where you can build your blockchain, DeFi or NFT business, even your own Uniswap without being a developer.

Use cases that Metis will support you to build:

  • Your own NFT minting and trading business
  • Your own launchpad
  • Your own decentralized exchange
  • Your own yield farm
  • Your own freelance business
  • Your own investment business
  • Your own token

  • Your will run your Dapp or business on Ethereum, but with:
  • Low gas fees (as low as a few cents as opposed to tens of dollars on Ethereum)
  • Fast transactions (2 seconds as opposed to few minutes on Ethereum)
  • Native file storage (not possible on Ethereum, not possible on Polygon)
  • No coding smart contracts - Metis will provide one-click deployment from our own pre-developed templates
  • Completely compatible with Ethereum (EVM) - if you are already on Ethereum you can port to Metis for all the above advantages at no cost and in no time
  • Completely decentralized
  • Can be fully integrated into your own website/platform

In the future you will be able to come to the Metis platform , create your business unit - we call it DAC (Decentralized Autonomous Company) in two clicks and launch any of the following: NFT minting and trading business, freelance business, social reputation business, investment business, yield farming business, and many more.

You also will be able to tokenize business (will be able to create your token in a couple of clicks too, as well) , you can crowdfund and invest, you can onboard your users and offer them a service.

All this can be done with extremely low gas fees - as of now we predict few cents, faster transactions (2 seconds as opposed to few minutes on Ethereum), native file and data storage (not possible on Polygon or Ethereum).
