Description

Overview

As a freelance educator, how much do you read every day, memorize and recall information for your work? Think about it.

Every day, without fail, you scan the newspapers and online news to catch up with what's going on in the world. You browse through countless emails from friends and clients. And you then read proposals, periodicals and letters. You’ve loads of books, journals and reports to ponder over in order to develop your training materials. Reading makes up an essential part of an average day for adult educators. Reading skills is one of the core skills you need. You probably read, presently, between 200 to 270 words per minute. You will take 90 to 120 seconds to read an A4 page. The good news is you can lift off your brakes and accelerate your reading speed to easily double or event triple your reading speed by adopting three good habits of swift reading.

At workshops you are conducting, do you feel embarrassed when you forget the participants’ names? Do you face difficulty in recalling a crucial fact to be augmented with the slide? Have you often miss out an important component of your training and regret it later?

Whether is it recalling a quotation to kick off your talk, a vital piece of key statistics or a compelling folklore narrative in your training, good memory put you on a reputable standing. Memory is more than recalling information for social networking or gossips. Adult educators with excellent memories are perceived to be smart, trustworthy and effective. There are many techniques to train your memory. Put yourself to an unfair advantage - Train your Brain. Store your facts in the relevant compartment of your brain and retrieve it as and when you need it.

Pull your image of an adult educator away from the crowd. Fast reading and memory skills are essential skills that last a lifetime. Develop faster reading skills, remember and recall them more efficiently. And you will discover life as an adult educator more vibrant and inspiring!
