About this event
The feeling of anxiety, worry or fear can be gripping, and prevents us from living a full life.
In this session, different forms of anxiety and cognitive therapy will be briefly covered, and how mindfulness can strengthen the ability to self-regulate, increase self-compassion, and respond more helpfully to anxiety. Two mindfulness practices shall be explored. This is also a preview of the 8-Week Mindfulness For Life (Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, MBCT - Life) program held in Sep-Oct 2022.
About the facilitator - Noelle Lim
She attended the teacher training in MBCT-L and MBCT-D at Oxford Mindfulness Centre (OMC), Oxford University, and is in Step 2 of her training, supervised according to UK’s Mindfulness-Based Interventions: Teaching Assessment Criteria. She has run nine 8-Week MBCT programs.
