Description

Mindfulness practices are becoming more relevant in Singapore with the increasing challenges we face in both our personal and professional lives. Mindfulness has a tremendous effect in promoting wellbeing and reducing stress, anxiety and other life challenges. Modern research has found that by practising Mindfulness one can move away from negative thoughts about the past and the future, and remain positive in the present moment. Mindfulness practitioners have also found themselves dealing with physical illnesses and challenges much better than they used to.

Day of Mindfulness: 23rd Sep (9 am to 1 pm)

This eight week course integrates mindfulness techniques and practices from the latest research evidence and global practice. It will combine Mindful Yoga, Positive Psychology and authentic Mindfulness practices. Participants will receive:

About the Coaches:

Sunita Rai, Consultant (Psychotherapy & Psychology), Mindfulness Coach

Sunita is a Mindfulness Practitioner for more than 8 years. She has taught Mindfulness to people of all walks of life for several years. Her traditional grounding in Mindfulness helps in making Mindfulness relevant to different spheres of our life. Apart from teaching Mindfulness, she is a practicing psychotherapist who has an intimate understanding of the human mind. She also lectures at institutes of higher learning, provides consultancy services and conducts leadership workshops.

Sunita is a skilled facilitator, trainer, psychologist and coach. She is a Doctorate Candidate in Psychology (Group Psychotherapy) and currently creating a unique model for wellbeing interventions which can be used by individuals or organisations as part of her doctorate research.

Vivien Chua Bee Bee, Mindfulness Coach

Vivien has been a Mindfulness Practitioner and Teacher for 7 years. She is a testimony as to how mindfulness can help deal with fears and pain as she was herself a person dealing with such challenges more than 6 years ago. Till date she has taught thousands of people in Mindfulness and other contemplative practices. She is also an active trainer in various self-help, motivational and relationship programs.

Vivien also lectures in polytechnics and institutes of higher learning on psychology related topics. She holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc with Honours) and an Advanced Diploma in Counselling Psychology.
