About this event
It's almost here. And we are getting very excited about our permanent home in Margaret Drive.
The new 300sqm space at Margaret Drive will be Singapore's first and biggest community museum that is run and funded by the community. After spending 3 years at our cozy shophouse museum in Tanglin Halt, we are excited to work with the uncles, aunties, little boys and girls on this community space. There will be a world-class exhibition, a community archives and a little family history centre at our new community museum.
And this is the first time that a museum will be fully planned and designed with the community in Singapore.
If you are interested in being a part of My Community, join us on Saturday, 14 January 2023 for an engagement session to learn more about My Community's tours and upcoming museum

About My Community
Since its inception in 2010, My Community has made its mark in the arts, cultural and heritage sectors. Its work has spurred the growth and development of a common-man approach to history where everyday experiences of Singaporeans are chronicled and celebrated.
Today, My Community’s core mission remains the same. The non-profit organisation works to capture and preserve community stories, reconnect people to places and social networks, and deepen heritage appreciation and expression across the country. It also advocates for greater community involvement in cultural management and urban governance processes.
