Do you know that the Home Ownership for the People Scheme was launched in Commonwealth in 1964? (where former PM Lee Kuan Yew took iconic photographs)

My Holland Village traces the evolution of Singapore's first satellite town from a rubber plantation in the 1870s to a bustling military village in the 1930s and a renowned expatriate centre and tourist attraction in the 2000s.

Participants will hear a first-hand account of this transformation from colourful figures in Holland Village and Commonwealth.

• Everyone is welcome to participate in this exciting tour! All participants must be vaccinated.

Duration & Meeting Place

• Approximate Duration: 3.0 hours
• Language: English
• Please meet at Holland Village MRT Station Exit A (opposite the Pizza Hut) 15 minutes before the start of the tour.
• The tour will proceed rain or shine.

What to bring?

• Bring a mask, comfortable clothes and suitable shoes
• Bring along hand sanitisers, insect repellent, EZ-Link card, a bottle of water and an umbrella
• Asthmatic individuals are encouraged to bring their inhaler.
• If you have earphones (with a standard 3.5mm audio jack) please bring them along, as we will be using radio guides for the tour!

COVID-19 Safety Precautions

• Mask is not compulsory for outdoor. However, please wear a mask when we enter in-door.

• Please arrive 15 minutes before the tour for registration
• All participants must be vaccinated

• You must cancel this ticket if you were unwell and could not turn up.
• Participants who have signed up for the tour but did not turn up will be banned permanently from My Community's future tours.
