About this event
A greater awareness of the functioning and behavioural tendencies of our minds helps us to better manage the stress, anxiety and challenges of life. Join Ms Wee Geok Hua, the experienced facilitator of Amitabha Buddhist Centre's (ABC's) popular Meditation for Beginners course, for a four-session introduction on the workings of the mind: Saturdays, 12, 19, 26 Nov and 3 Dec 2022, 10am – 11.30am at ABC.
Learn how to use mindfulness meditation as a tool to develop a deeper understanding of the way our minds process both our positive and negative experiences.🧘🏻♀️🧘🏻♂️
The practice of mindfulness creates a safe space for the mind to be stable and calm. With stability and calmness, free from disturbing, distracting thoughts, the mind gains greater clarity. The mind becomes like a powerful searchlight that turns its focus on itself, shining on both its strengths and weaknesses. This understanding and acknowledgement lead to a transformation of our unhelpful habits.☺️🔦

While the ruling on mask-wearing has been relaxed, we would like to request that all participants wear a face-mask while inside the prayer hall to protect everybody’s health. Please also help to create a safe environment for everyone by not coming to the Centre if you are unwell. Thank you.
