'NIE Postgraduate Fair : Learning Differently, Leading Change' is back!

Join us again on Sunday 13 May 2018 at Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre, Level 3 - Summit 2 from 10am - 4pm, for a series of exciting and informative activities on our higher degree and professional development programmes and courses that are suitable for both teachers and working professionals passionate about lifelong learning!

What's Happening at the Postgraduate Fair?

You will get an overview of the National Institute of Education (NIE), Singapore and the opportunity to learn more about the programmes that we offer to both teachers and non-teachers. You will be able to meet the programme leaders and staff members from each Academic Group at the event. In addition, you get to mingle with our current and graduate students to learn more about their experiences. 

Our comprehensive range of higher degree and professional development programmes and courses are run by the following 12 Academic Groups in NIE.

Why Register?

Goodie bags* are given to all registrants at our Registration and Information counter at the venue.

Terms and Conditions

To participate in the Hourly Lucky Draw, please do the following:
1.  Cut or tear out the “Hourly Draw Slip” found in our Visitor Handbook that will be given out to all attendees at the event.

2.  Fill up your name, contact number, NRIC or passport number, email address and the correct answer to the question.

3.  Drop the completed form into the box labelled “Hourly Draw” at the Lucky Draw booth.

16 lucky winners with the correct answer to the questions will be picked. Entry into this lucky draw is deemed acceptance of the General Rules and Regulations and any amendments, additions, replacements, variations and modifications to the General Rules and Regulations shall be final and binding in all aspects on each participant. Non-compliance with or breach of any of the General Rules and Regulations may disqualify a participant at any stage of the Lucky Draw, and any prizes won may be forfeited, withheld, withdrawn or reclaimed. Winners' names will be posted at the Lucky Draw booth and will be contacted to collect their prizes on the day (13 May 2018) by 1545hrs.

 To participate in the Grand Lucky Draw, please do the following:

1. Cut or tear out the "Grand Draw Slip" found in our Visitor Handbook that will be given out to all attendees at the event.

2. Fill up your name, contact number, NRIC or passport number, email address and the correct answer to the question.

3. Drop the completed form into the box labelled “Grand Draw” at the Lucky Draw booth.

3 lucky winners with the correct answer to the questions will be picked.  General Rules and Regulations:

1.       For the hourly draw, it is restricted to one entry per visitor. Visitors with multiple entries will be disqualified.

2.       For the grand draw, visitors who present our Postgraduate Fair 2018’s newspaper advertisements or flyers at the Lucky Draw booth will get an additional lucky draw slip. Each person is only entitled to 1 extra slip.

3.       Winner’s names will be posted at the Lucky Draw booth and will be contacted on the same day of the draw through the mobile number that the winner used or indicated on the lucky draw slips. 

4.       Winners must be present and produce his / her NRIC / passport / any photo ID to claim the prizes at the event. If the winners are unable to collect the prizes at the event, we will mail out the prizes to them upon verifying their details over the phone. 

5.       NIE Postgraduate Fair organiser’s decision on the winners is final and no correspondences (i.e., enquiries, appeals, verbal or written) will be entertained.  

6.       Participants to the draws shall accept and abide by all decisions made by the NIE Postgraduate organiser, without limitation, the General Rules and Regulations, the rules, procedures and regulations of the lucky draws, the award of the prizes and any other matters relating to the lucky draws.

7.       By participating in the draws, you agree to receive marketing materials via email from NIE and consent to have your photo taken as part of our event photos. However, we regret to inform you that you will not be eligible to participate in the draws should you decline to do so.

While Esplanade station and Promenade station on the Circle Line are linked directly to Suntec City Mall, walk via Raffles City and Esplanade Xchange to get from City Hall MRT station to Suntec.

Walking Directions:

From Promenade MRT (3 mins): Take Exit C and enter Suntec City

From Esplanade MRT (3 mins): Take Exit A and go up the escalator straight ahead (at the entrance of Esplanade Xchange) to Suntec City
 
From City Hall MRT (8-10 mins): Turn right after the exit gantries and walk through City Link Mall. Follow the directional signage at the end of the mall to the escalators leading to Suntec City (same exit as from Esplanade MRT)

Office of Graduate Studies & Professional Learning, NIE

The Office of Graduate Studies & Professional Learning (GPL) is one of the two key programme offices in the National Institute of Education (NIE).  In addition to being responsible for overseeing NIE’s higher degree programmes, GPL also offers a variety of professional development programmes and courses for Singapore teachers ranging from short-courses to leadership programmes.  GPL also provides academic research grant management to NIE faculty.

GPL works closely with NIE’s parent university, the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and the Ministry of Education (MOE), Singapore in the designing and development of its programmes. Together with advice through academic exchanges with NIE’s overseas’ partners, the programmes offered by GPL are not only relevant to the needs of the local participants, but are also aligned with global trends and international standards.
