They will share how they navigated their career and provide career insights and overcome setbacks to become stronger than they were before.

Winnie Chua MBA’03D, Director, APAC Business Planning & Operations (Global Business Group) at Facebook

Winnie heads up the APAC Business and Operations (BP&O) team at Facebook for the Global Business Group (GBG). The core mission of GBG BP&O is to maximize performance by being an objective and trusted business partner to the sales organization.
Prior to Facebook, she worked several years at Skype and SingTel, leading Strategy & Planning function. She is a cat lover and had as many as 8 cats at home at one point in time. Winnie holds Bachelor of Business Administration, First Class Honours from National University of Singapore and is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) holder.

Bas Gevaert MBA‘09D, Senior Director, Business Solutions Go-To-Market at PayPal

Bas is responsible for PayPal’s global sales and marketing strategy for the Small and Medium-sized Businesses (SMB) segment. Bas joined PayPal as a product manager in the UK after finishing his MBA. After earning his product management stripes, he held various commercial roles in the UK, mostly focused on strategic projects and new lines of business. This included incubating and leading PayPal’s mobile Point-Of-Sale business in the UK, which culminated in the $2 billion acquisition of Swedish start-up iZettle. In 2018 he took on a global SMB leadership role for which he moved to Singapore.

Jaz Athenia Chua TIEMBA’16, NAA Lifelong Learning and Career Development Member will moderate this panel. Jaz has over 10 years of expereince working in IT MNCs. Jaz is fluent with workings of sales, marketing, business operations, sales transformation, data analytics, compliance, change management and sales incentives. She has spent her career building high performance teams across APJ to deliver the objectives of senior management in an era where change is the only constant. Jaz has also started a wellness platform. As such, she understands challenges that an entrepreneur faces when taking their ideas to market. She is also an Entrepreneur in Residence with INSEAD, whose mission is to increase the number of successful entrepreneurs amongst their students
