Learn these skills in our Mindfulness Foundation Course.

Time: 7:15pm-9:15pm

In this 4-session course, you will learn and practise mind-body skills to help you cope with stress to bring about:

  • Balance

  • Stability

  • Well-being

This course is conducted by experienced mindfulness trainers.

You will be meditating while sitting on a chair.

Suitable for adults and teenagers 16 and above.

Brahm Centre is honoured to be selected by Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School to be their mindfulness research partner. You can be part of it and receive up to $60!

All you need to do is to sign up for the study, as well as be available for the other dates for the study sessions listed below!

Limited to 20 per course. Sign-up for this study closes on 30 Dec 2017.

Who can participate in this study?

  • Between 16 and 75 years of age
  • Have no history of sleep disorders or alcohol abuse
  • Must not be using long-term medication for sleeping
  • Must not currently be engaged in shift work
  • Must not have crossed more than 2 international time zones in the past 2 weeks prior to the commencement of the study to the end of the study period

What will I be asked to do?

  • You will have to attend the first study session at Duke-NUS Medical School (8 College Road).
    • In the first study session, you will perform a computerised task and complete a set of questionnaires.
    • You will receive the Actiwatch to wear for a week for the purposes of monitoring your sleep quality.
      • Choice of Dates for First Study Session
        • Either 2 Jan / 3 Jan 2018
        • Choice of 3pm or 7pm for both days (approximately 1-hour long)
  • You will need to return the Actiwatch at Duke-NUS Medical School (8 College Road) on either 9 Jan or 10 Jan 2018 (all-day during working hours)
    • You will attend the second study session at Duke-NUS Medical School to collect the Actiwatch, as well as, to perform a computerised task and complete a set of questionnaires.
    • Choice of Dates for Second Study Session
      • Either 23 Jan / 24 Jan 2018
      • Choice of 3pm or 7pm for both days (approximately 1-hour long)
  • You will finally return the Actiwatch at Brahm Centre on the first day of the Mindfulness Foundation Course on 31 Jan 2018.

- You are responsible for making your claim submission within the eligible time frame stipulated by SkillsFuture.

* National Silver Academy (NSA) subsidy
- The NSA subsidy is for Singaporeans and Permanent Residents aged 50 and above on 31 December 2018
- Arrive 30 minutes before class starts to complete the application process.
- Produce proof of NRIC (a copy will be retained for our records) on first day of class.
- Sign the consent of use of personal data by C3A and relevant partners on the first day of class.
- Participants who do not fulfill the above criteria will not be eligible for NSA funding and will be required to pay the course fee in full; no refunds will be provided.
