About the Programme/Event

Help your children integrate their left brain (logic and reason) with their right brain (feelings, creativity, imagination) to maximise calm and reasoned responses and minimise meltdowns and poor decisions.

Learn from Ms Gerardine Pang, author of Parenting Is Not a Democracy, on the following parenting techniques:

1. Brief description of function and development of both right and left hemispheres of the brain

2. Examples of how parents can guide children in explosive situations using the advantages of both logic and empathy.

3. Invitation to introspection of self to identify what needs to be changed.

4. Introduction to effective ways if changing habits of parents in order to encourage formation of desirable habits in children

5. Mindfulness: examples of how to incorporate mindfulness in parents’ daily routines and how to help their children practice mindfulness to help them regain calmness in challenging situations.
