Capacity building for non-profit professionals – organised by NVPC, in support of the Bicentennial Community Fund.

As part of the Bicentennial Community Fund, we are pleased to bring to you a series of workshops to help IPCs build up their capacity in terms of fundraising, pitching and strategic planning

In this intensive workshop, participants will learn practical and effective ways to boost their fundraising efforts. The first part of the workshop focuses on organisational assessment and clarifying vision and story. The second part of the workshop shows you how to develop a strategy and how to communicate your vision.

Description of event

In this workshop, you will learn how to:

1) Analyse your organisation's governance, finance, programmes and needs;

2) Understand your organisation's vision and develop your story;

3) Build a strategy; and

4) Learn how to pitch your story.

Facilitator Bio

Jane Binks has over 20 years international experience in strategic planning, project management and capacity building. She worked with the National Heritage Board for 8 years, most recently as the Director of Philanthropy. Jane now runs her own consultancy focusing on programme reviews; fundraising; stakeholder engagement; membership programmes; strategic partnerships; and institutional advancement. With a deep knowledge of the charity sector and donor landscape in Singapore, Jane is a regular trainer and panelist on the subject of fundraising and philanthropy trends. She holds a Masters Degree in Management, Economics and Politics, from the University of St. Andrews, and a Bachelors in English Literature from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
