About the Workshop
Organisations often find that motivation and performances amongst individuals can vary significantly in the workplace, despite them having undergone the same skills training. Hence, while skills training is necessary, it is also essential for organizations to put in place an efficient structure with minimal supervision to drive people’s desire and ability to take on challenges in a purposefully, evolving, self-directed and result-oriented manner.
This interactive workshop will, through a simple case scenario and discussion, enable participants to explore and identify critical aspects that drive motivation and performance in people at every level, and how this could be achieved in a practical and effective self-evolving manner.
At the end of this session, you will be able to:
- Identify critical aspects that drive motivation and performance in people beyond skills training
- Understand how organisations can effectively and cost-efficiently provide self-enhancement structures and tools for its people to deal with challenges and achieve results
This workshop will also illustrate the application of Own Our Challenges – an efficient and effective self-evolving agile structure that enable people within organisations to enhance their own motivation and result-oriented performance, with minimal managerial control and costs.
Who Should Attend
Any Manager or Supervisor who either manages teams or other managers, or Managers who plan for people development. These may include Departmental Managers, HR Managers, L & D Managers, etc.
About the Speaker
Charles (MBA, BSc) has over 30 years of career experience. He has spearheaded business projects and led both project teams and management teams overseeing functional areas including Sales, Marketing, Operations, Procurement, HR and Finance. Charles has taken on business and managerial roles and responsibilities with strategic and bottom-line accountability from both the Revenue as well as Cost perspectives.
Charles is currently a practising management consultant enabling organisations to prioritise and strategize growth through enhancing, aligning and leveraging on the capacity of an organisation’s processes, technology and, very importantly, its people. Some of the organisations he has done work for include SingTel, Bosch, Fujitsu, AXA Insurance, Ministry of Defence, Mercer, etc.
As a Certified Master Coach from the Behavioural Coaching Institute (Aust), Charles has interviewed and coached hundreds of organisational members, including the use of competency-based models.
