Embarking on your ADHD parenting journey with your child can be daunting, yet really rewarding when you see your child grow and learn. Listen to the stories of four fathers as they share their experiences on how they managed the challenges faced in their ADHD parenting journey!
Our featured panelists:
Lee Chia Ming considers himself a regular Joe trying to parent a kid without the support system from family back home in Singapore. His tween daughter has ADHD and it has been a journey of discovery for him and his wife. He is a healthcare professional based in the US.
David Su is a father of three children, one of whom is an ADHDer. He is currently experiencing the roller coaster of the education system and navigating the challenges of parenting during the COVID-19 pandemic. He is a healthcare professional in Singapore.
Frankie Tan is a father of three boys, one of whom is diagnosed with ADHD, ASD and is dyslexic. Frankie is currently on sabbatical from his job in the sports industry. He has been spending more time on the home front for most of this year, and has been involved in the Dads for Life Movement since 2009.
David Sim is a father of 2 kids. As an advocate for early diagnosis, intervention and empowerment of special needs kids, he found himself 'walking the talk' when his youngest displayed signs of special needs at age 4. His son was diagnosed with ADHD and is currently seeking intervention through the public healthcare system. During his free time, David, who is in the Civil Service, and his wife are constantly looking for opportunities to engage their kids in meaningful ways. He journals his moments with his kids with videos and photos and shares his journey with them on his Instagram account @ doting_dad .
This event is moderated by Yong Yuan Wu, a volunteer with Unlocking ADHD and a career warrior in a regional position with an MNC. He has a heart for mentoring youths and making a difference in serving others.
