Description

About Workshop:

Personality profiling is an easy way to understand people, and why they act so differently. Among all the personality profiling tools available, the DISC system is the easiest to apply and understand. In this 2.5 hour workshop, you will learn how to observe people’s behaviour, profile them within 2 minutes, and use this to communicate with them in a way that they can better appreciate.

This workshop is for anyone who wants to understand others so that they can build better relationships, be it in a family or working context.

Topics Covered:

What is DISC, and how can we use it

Practice: analysing video clips to profile people (group work)

Case studies: dissecting the personalities of famous people and understanding their different characteristics (group work)

Learning outcomes:

Participants will learn how to use the DISC profiling system to firstly profile people by observing their behaviour within 2 minutes, and then use this knowledge to interact with them in a way that will best suit them.

About the Speaker:

Alvin Ananthan is the founder and main trainer for Goldfish Studios, a corporate training consultancy. As an educator, trainer and mentor for more than 10 years, Alvin has helped hundreds of participants to improve their working and personal relationships with others, using the DISC profiling system.

An experienced educator armed with a Masters in Education from NTU/NIE, Alvin believes that the best way to learn is to try it out; his workshops are very hands-on, usually with 80% of the workshop being activities for participants.
