NOTE: This event is currently planned to be delivered via Lync (attendees will receive joining information 24 hours before the event), however we may switch this to Google Hangouts. Any changes will be communicated ahead of time.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is Power Breakfast?
Power Breakfast is an event held every 4-6 weeks by the PowerShell User Group. It runs on a Saturday morning from 8:30am until a latest of 10:30am depending on content.
Why was this time chosen?
We were looking for a way to engage more regularly with the community without becoming too disruptive to their work or family life. We feel that Saturday breakfast time works well for this typos of event because whether you join in person or on Lync, the event is over by mid-morning and you can continue with your regular day. Also, we have a number of International MVP's and community speakers that we will be able to connect the group with based on how this time overlaps with other time zones, increasing your direct exposure to experts around the world.
Where is it held?
This event will be available by Lync but the leads will also be at the Microsoft office, you are welcome to attend in person also if you prefer.
Should I join by Lync or in person?
It is entirely up to you. If you join via Lync there is the benefit of being able to join from wherever you are, whether this is at home or work you will not miss the content. You might choose to join in person if you need somewhere quiet and there are no other alternatives! You might like to interact with other group members and the leads for some informal technology discussion and perhaps some brunch after the session is over. It's a good way to connect.
What do I need to join via Lync?
This event has full audio and video via Lync, therefore you must have the full client installed on your machine to get the full benefit of this session. Lync Client is a free download from Microsoft or respective App Stores for all platforms. You can find Lync clients for your platform here.
