Event Details

This is another event in the PowerBreakfast Series from Singapore PowerShell User Group. The official PowerBreakfast website is

Unit Testing for PowerShell Code - Adam Driscoll (PowerShell MVP)

If you have attended the last session by Jim Christopher on Getting Started with Source Control using Git and Mercurial, then you wouldn't want to miss this session by Adam Driscoll on Unit Testing for PowerShell Code. As PowerShell code become more important in your operations, you tends to write long chunk of code where you may be more than afraid of testing the whole chunk and worrying that you may have broke the whole script. One can view a unit as the smallest testable part of an application or PowerShell scripts.

What is PowerBreakfast?

Power Breakfast is an event held every 4-6 weeks by the Singapore PowerShell User Group. It runs on a Saturday morning from 8.30am until 10.30am depending on the amount of awesome content presented.

Why was this time chosen?

We were looking for a way to engage more regularly with the community without becoming too disruptive to their work or family life. We feel that Saturday breakfast time works well for this typos of event because whether you join in person or on Lync, the event is over by mid-morning and you can continue with your regular day. Also, we have a number of International MVP's and community speakers that we will be able to connect the group with based on how this time overlaps with other time zones, increasing your direct exposure to experts around the world.

Where is it held?
This event will be available by Lync but the leads will also be at the Microsoft office, you are welcome to attend in person also if you prefer.

Should I join by Lync or in person?
It is entirely up to you. If you join via Lync there is the benefit of being able to join from wherever you are, whether this is at home or work you will not miss the content. You might choose to join in person if you need somewhere quiet and there are no other alternatives! You might like to interact with other group members and the leads for some informal technology discussion and perhaps some brunch after the session is over. It's a good way to connect.

What do I need to join via Lync?
This event has full audio and video via Lync, therefore you must have the full client installed on your machine to get the full benefit of this session. Lync Client is a free download from Microsoft or respective App Stores for all platforms. You can find Lync clients for your platform here.

How will I hear about this event in future?
