NAMS and ARC

National Addictions Management Service was set up in 2008 with the support of the Ministry of Health to provide treatment for people with addictions.

NAMS treats clients who are addicted to drugs, alcohol, gambling, the internet and others. It runs a dedicated outpatient clinic for three different groups of patients – adolescents, private and subsidised patients.

NAMS also has an inpatient ward called Serenity Centre which is a residential facility for patients who require detoxification and rehabilitation. In addition, NAMS runs two satellite clinics at the Institute of Mental Health's Community Wellness Clinics (CWCs) in Queenstown and Geylang.

Addiction Recovery College (ARC) is the educational arm of NAMS. It provides a range of course, workshop and resources for public and person recovering from addictions or addiction-related issues and their families. ARC also customises curriculum for professionals and practitioners working in the field of addictions.

At the Addiction Recovery College, we aim to create a welcoming, safe and conducive environment for persons embarking on a learning journey so participants can find out more about various addictions and learn practical steps to guide them towards recovery.
