About the Programme/Event

Workplaces are changing. Repetitive work is not only boring but can lead to costly mistakes. A lot of current work revolves around aggregating, transferring and checking data, writing routine reports and sending routine emails. People would rather spend time being creative and innovative rather than doing the same set of tasks repeatedly.

Robotic Process Automation (RPA) is a technology that lets users create software that mimics their repetitive actions at a computer. This would free the users from the most boring parts of their jobs and lead to fewer mistakes.

Traditionally programmers wrote code tailored to a company’s specific needs to improve processes related to documentation and data. With RPA, users themselves, without prior knowledge of creating software, and without any coding, create their own software to help them with their repetitive tasks.

This talk explores popular RPA software and shows through examples how they can be used by laypersons to improve their productivity.
