Vaccination-differentiated Safe Management Measures
Please note that with the new Vaccination-differentiated Safe Management Measures for entry into shopping malls and public libraries, you will only be able to enter library@orchard located within orchardgateway mall for onsite programmes if you're fully-vaccinated.
About the programme
ATINYMAKER is library@orchard’s artist-in-residence and will be working out of the library from January to March 2022. Having explored using rattan as a wrapping material in her first project 100 Rattan as Wrap, ATINYMAKER will experiment with different patterns and methods of flat weaving with rattan in her new project: Rattan as Textile. Drop by any time during this Open Studio session to say hello, find out how rattan weaving can manifest in different forms, and learn more about ATINYMAKER's artistic process and journey!
About the resident
ATINYMAKER (@atinymaker) by Ng Si Ying is a research attempt to exhaust rattan by exploring its materiality in aesthetics and function. Every work is an ongoing dialogue to rediscover the relation between material-object-man and rattan’s purpose in our time.
