About the programme

Please note that Open Studio sessions are not workshops.

Raeann Heng, founder of sustainable fashion brand Cheeky Feys, is library@orchard's artist-in-residence from June to August 2023. Raeann will be working on upcycling pre-loved clothes, and turning them into a 2 seater ottoman as part of our showcase and display at library@orchard. Drop by any time during this Open Studio session to say hello, discover her studio, and learn how to start your sustainable fashion journey by wearing slow, upcycling products, and changing consuming habits. Watch Raeann turn trash into treasure, and be encouraged to achieve your own zero-waste wardrobe.

About the speaker

Raeann Heng, founder of sustainable fashion brand Cheeky Feys, has embarked on a creative journey through film-making, styling, photography, and sewing. After watching a documentary about fast fashion and the origin of clothes 3 years ago, Raeann decided to boycott fast fashion and now crafts her family's clothes through upcycling and local fabric sources. Raeann then founded Cheeky Feys as a way to make slow, hand-crafted garment pieces for children in Singapore. She strongly believes in advocating for sustainable fashion and being more conscious about the environmental impact of our everyday products.
