Tour synopsis:
This 2-hour walk aims to showcase Windsor Nature Park as more than just the trailhead for hikes to the TreeTop Walk and that it merits more than just a glance in passing. Instead of making a beeline through this 75-hectare buffer park, we will take our time to discover its rustic and idyllic ambience.
Accompanied by the crowing of the ubiquitous jungle fowls and the murmurings of a brook that has yet to be forced into a concrete corset, we will take a leisurely stroll along shaded forest trails through what once was a rubber estate and a kampong. Old rubber trees still bearing the telltale scars of countless tappings and foundations of long-abandoned dwellings crumbling away in the twilight under the canopy are all that remains of the kampong life of a past that today is slowly vanishing under a carpet of greenery as the forest makes its comeback.
Recommended minimum age: 10 years
