About this Event

You might know reggae - the music, the movement, the history. But did you know that the Chinese originally arrived in Jamaica in the mid 19th century, and became one of the unlikely pioneers of reggae music?

‘Judge’ Jerry Hinds, musician and DJ with roots in Barbados, will bring you through the music, history and culture of reggae - and its unlikely Chinese roots, from Leslie Kong to the Hoo Kim Brothers. Who are they?Find out!
