Artist Bio

她是来自新加坡的暖系创作女声＿魏妙如，唱作俱佳经过实力认证的华语乐坛潜力女声。近年在台湾歌唱收视冠军节目《台湾那么旺》获得百万选秀冠军。

她拥有清新却不失能量的声音特质。新加坡国立大学毕业后，抛下高学历头衔朝全职歌唱之路无畏前行。因为海蝶音乐非常歌手训练班的深厚培训，曾替林俊杰、蔡淳佳、弦子、梁文福等新加坡优秀歌手唱过DEMO，在音乐路上经历无数历练。

她热爱词曲创作，在2017年发行的首张全创作专辑《伟大的旅行》当中的歌曲 《当我们不在一起》更是搭上由李国毅、谢欣颖、谢坤达领衔主演的偶像剧《1006的房客》，成为主题插曲创造数位佳绩；《当我们不在一起》MV更一举突破百万点击人数，成为校园学子耳熟能详的榜上情歌。

魏妙如发行过1张创作专辑，3张EP和无数单曲，歌曲也在各大数位平台上创佳绩。除了个人作品，魏妙如也曾经为中国女歌手—吴宣仪、台湾女歌手—严正岚等创作她们的歌曲。 2022 年也获得好莱坞传媒音乐大奖 HMMA AWARDS 最佳手游歌曲创作人的头衔。

Ruth Kueo is known for her crystal clear vocals and a gift for crafting emotionally charged lyrics and melodies. Her music combines elements of pop, folk, R&B, rock and is characterised by heartfelt storytelling that spans from intimate acoustic arrangements to electropop sounds.

Born and raised in Singapore, Ruth began singing and playing music at a young age, inspired by Taiwanese singer-songwriters like Cheer Chen, Lala Hsu and Crowd Lu. She started writing songs in her teens and quickly developed a knack for crafting melodies that resonated with audiences.

After honing her skills in the Singapore, Ruth Kueo ventured into Taiwan music scene and has since released 1 album, 3 EPs and various singles, including 「當我們不在一起」sub-theme song for Taiwan idol drama series, Meet Me @ 1006, which garnered over a million hits on Youtube. Her music have gained commendable streams across digital platforms, playlists and charts in the Mandopop scene.

She has held music showcases at notable venues in both Singapore and Taiwan, i.e Esplanade Concert Theatre, Annexe Studio,,河岸留言, 女巫店 and has also performed at renowned festivals like Xingpop, 呼叫好音樂 and 將軍吼.

Currently a prolific singer, Ruth was crowned the champion of Taiwan Singing Show 「台湾那么旺」in 2021. She also received the Hollywood Music in Music Awards (HMMA) in 2022 as the best music composer for mobile video game song "Beyond The Sky" from EVE ECHOES - the first Singaporean to have won this Hollywood award.

She is actively bringing Singapore music to greater heights across different regions, having written songs for Chinese female Singer 吴宣仪, Taiwan songstress 嚴正嵐 Vera Yen and other regional Mandopop artistes.

Her music has been praised for its emotional style of writing - raw, vulnerable, honest lyrics and catchy hooks. She draws inspiration from her personal experiences and believe that music has the power to heal and empower. Every song creation has its own charm and life, with lingering pockets of hope and love.
