About the Programme
This workshop is for participants aged 50 years and above.
Do you miss the personal touch of sending greetings through the post? Join us for a fun and hands-on session at MakeIT with our ScanNCut digital cutting machines* as we teach you how to make your own unique postcards. Learn how to design postcards and tailor them to any occasion or season!
*A Digital Cutting Machine is a printer-like machine that can make precise cut-outs on a variety of sheet materials. At MakeIT, we use the Brother SDX1200 ScanNCut, which is a Digital Cutting Machine that is safe and easy to use.
Through the making of a personalised postcard, this workshop will teach you how to:
• Use different types of materials and mounting methods when using a digital cutter
• Access the ScanNCut’s shape library for pre-set shapes
• Use the ScanNCut’s scanning and cutting features to transfer designs from paper to other materials
• Choose an appropriate cutting method for your projects
• Navigate CanvasWorkspace, a programme used to make designs for the ScanNCut
This programme is suitable for beginners. No prior knowledge of Digital Cutting is needed to participate.
Laptops will be provided for the workshop.
