A French Christmas! is a piano recital in dedication to French music heritage and a celebration of French composer Sylvain Guinet’s music. For many years Sylvain’s music emerged amidst the rise of social media as one of the most well received and widely interpreted music compositions. Continuing the French musical tradition, his music told stories of various subjects. A full spectrum of human emotions is expressed through his compositions, displaying the composer’s extensive reach and richness in musical styles.

Pianist Ryu Lawden is a well accomplished young pianist from Medan, Indonesia. At age twelve Ryu has gained great mastery in performance on the grand piano, he is adventurous and eager to learn and always strive to explore new music and the different ways of conveying compositions of different styles in their original intentions. He has been a wonderful companion to all who seek to enjoy the music of Sylvain Guinet.

As music has always been an integral part of festivity and a communication of well wishes, in welcoming this festive season, we hope to add to the joy of celebration by presenting this programme to the audience of Singapore.
