The SMU BP IV is SMU's flagship debate tournament in the British Parliamentary format. It will feature 60 to 80 teams competing over 5 preliminary rounds, as well a break to open quarterfinals and high school semifinals.

Our adjudication core consists of:

Amrit Agastia: 1-time Asian BP grand finalist, Australs grand finalist, and adjudication core of 2 majors

Mika Filoteo: 3-time best speaker of Asia, 2-time Worlds-breaker, and 1-time Asian BP finalist (as well as adjudication core of 3 majors)

Vihasini Gopakumar: 1-time Asian BP grand finalist, and Asian champion

Yarn Shih: 1-time Worlds quarterfinalist, Asian BP champion, and Asian BP adjudication core

Our tab master is Jose Yip - one of the most efficient tab masters in Singapore.

And our organization committee consists of Adil Hakeem, Subra Nara, Lu Huiyi and Cheah You Yuan. Between us, we have been the adjudication core at the Asian championships and many other tournaments including the most recent Singapore Novice BP Championship, as well as organized SMU Hammers - we'll make sure the tournament runs smoothly.

The registration fee is $55 per person inclusive of all processing fees / taxes ($165 per team - each team must pay for a judge; you may choose to send a judge or not). We will have our adjudication core and senior judges mentor novice judges throughout the tournament.
