Overview

The increasing importance of Entrepreneurship and the impact propelled through entrepreneurial activities is a potential economic force driving the world economies. In Singapore, entrepreneurship is identified as an important investment towards job creation and economic well-being for the country. With increasing uncertainly over the employment scene, it is important for individuals to equip themselves with the necessary skills and knowledge to on starting out with their own venture.

The workshop is designed to equip learners with the foundation to kick-start their entrepreneurial attempt(s) where they learn how to identify and evaluate an opportunity. Following which, learners will be introduced to thought-and-action process where they transform ideas into actions. The workshop will also cover the essentials of crafting value propositions that resonate with customers' needs.

  • Develop a Thought and Action approach towards achieving desired outcomes

About The Speaker

Roland is a lecturer with the Singapore Polytechnic Business School leading the Teaching and Learning unit where he and faculty members are responsible for driving learning innovations within the Business School. He specialises in Entrepreneurship and Innovation and represented the school in 2016 on a Symposium for Entrepreneurship Educators at Babson College. He has led various consultancy projects for industry partners – including City Development Limited, Panasonic, Johnson & Johnson and Mott’s Snapple International. Prior to joining the Polytechnic in 2013, Roland holds senior management position where he overseen local and international franchising, branding and strategic development of the organisation, bringing with him a wealth of experience in the field of business start-ups and expansion.
