SoleMates Walk for Paws (Official Launch)

Calling dog lovers! Take a stroll around Marina Bay with your furry friends at the SoleMates Walk for Paws fundraising event.

SoleMates Walk For Paws is a monthly event by Chimi’s to raise funds for our four-legged friends at the SPCA (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals). A portion of the proceeds from the ticket sales will be donated to the SPCA.

Chimi’s and Chimichanga recently adopted the SPCA (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) as their charity of choice. The brands will be supporting the SPCA through various fundraising events and initiatives throughout the next 12 months. To kick off the partnership, SoleMates Walk For Paws will be launched on 30th October with a Howl-oween Special and will then take place every last Sunday.

About SoleMates Walk For Paws:

Walk the scenic 4km with your canine buddy or your favourite hooman. Dog owners and dog lovers are invited to join in the fun. Not only will you get to spend time with our four-legged friends, but you'll also get to enjoy some beer too!

This self-guided walk takes participants and their doggos to three rest stops around Marina Bay, where you’ll get to try a different beer (for hoomans) at each stop. The walk starts and ends at Chimi's Marina Bay and will direct participants to the first stop at Mischief Esplanade, followed by Bayside Drinks & Eats and finally to Chimi’s Marina Bay.

The launch of SoleMates Walk for Paws features a Howl-oween special and both hoomans and doggos are can come dressed in their scariest costume (Please only dress doggos up if they are comfortable)! The first 20 ticket buyers will also receive a complimentary Doggy Goodie Bag for their furry friend kindly sponsored by our partners - Buddy Bites, KIMBARKSG & KKOLA.SG.

Tickets:

Single $38 (includes 3 beers for 1 person. 1 beer per rest stop)

*Beer can be switched for soft drinks

Date: 30th October Sunday 2022

Starts: 5PM

Ends: 7PM, depending on one’s own pace but you’ll need to finish by 7PM

Registration: Chimi’s Marina Bay, located at 1 Marina Boulevard #01-01, NTUC Centre

All fur kids are welcome! Don’t forget to keep them leashed.

What happens if it rains?

Nobody likes rain on their parade! But as an outdoor walk, SoleMates is vulnerable. We will go ahead in most weather conditions, including light, intermittent or potential rain. However, if there is heavy rain with chances of lightning, then the walk will be rescheduled. The buyer may use the ticket on any other date of the walk (arrangement to be made with us).

How and when will I find out about a cancellation?

Don’t worry, we’ve got your back. We will be monitoring ground conditions (please bear in mind that conditions on site may differ to what you are experiencing at home). We try to cancel as early as possible, but the decision is rarely made hours before the walk. Since the weather can turn unexpectedly, cancellations will be made at 4pm.

In the rare event that a session is cancelled, ticket holders will receive an SMS. Please assume the session is going ahead, unless you receive the official notification. If you decide not to attend without receiving notice, your tickets will be forfeited.
