Event description

Description

College graduates with degrees in science, technology, engineering, or math (STEM) are highly sought after in our economy. But how do you decide which field makes the most sense for you?

In this seminar, you’ll learn everything from whether a STEM path is right for you to the cool (yes, cool!) things that scientists and engineers do. And what’s the difference between science and engineering anyway?

You’ll also learn about the essential skills STEM students need to succeed in college, and how to make sure those same skills get noticed by an admissions officer.

The workshop will be conducted by Meredith Graham, our STEM expert counselor from Ohio, US office.

About Meredith:

Meredith spent seven years as an Associate Director of Admissions at Cornell University. She also earned a master’s degree in higher education and worked as an Associate Director at Boston University and an Academic Advisor at Purdue University. A scientist and a counselor at heart, Meredith is the author of the Collegewise publication STEM’s Many Branches: College Planning for Students Considering Majors in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.
