About the Programme/Event

A collaboration with National Library Board, 398.2 Storytelling Festival 2020 is an energetic storytelling event which targets the whole family. The festival will feature local storytellers.

A girl searches for her grandfather, a gecko too loud , and donkey that never gave up and curious birds. Suitable for family audiences.

About the Speaker

Alice-Bianca Clark

Alice is a storyteller, who loves telling to children, and combines elements of music, dance, art and craft. In Singapore, where she is currently based, she has worked with special needs children, pre-schoolers and junior school children. Her international experience includes festival work and workshops in Malaysia and India. She premiered her first professional story at the 398.2 Festival in 2015 - that's why this festival holds a special place in her heart.

Shalni Doshi 

Shalni Doshi is an experienced Storyteller and Trainer. She has worked with both adults and children. One of the KidsRead trainers for NLB, she has told at the Singapore Writers’ Festival, the Story carnival at Enabling Village and the 398.2 festivals. A member of Story Line.

Krupa Vinayagamoorthy

Krupa Vinayagamoorthy is an Unschooling mother an enthusiastic storyteller. She enjoys telling stories to young children and adults, especially with props and plenty of dramatic Transformations. She enjoys tapping into her Tamil heritage for inspiration and is a bilingual storyteller (Tamil and English)

Krupa is the consulting director of the Federation of Asian Storytellers ( FEAST ). She also has been Administrative Director of the 398.2 Storytelling Festival - 2019 and Committee member of the Story Carnival 2019 - 2019. 

Krupa is a member of StoryLine and StoryConnection. She has 2+ years of experience and has told stories at various libraries across Singapore and also at the Story Carnival @ Enabling Village (2019) and the AKT Storytelling Festival (2019)and the Fringe of 398.2 Storytelling Festival ( 2018,2019). Recently she performed at the Menlo Park Storytelling Festival, California via ZOOM. 

Akila Rajagopal

Someone who loves stories. A dreamer. A mother of a 2 year old. A supporter of Story Connection Ltd and a regular Story Line attendee .  She has told stories as a volunteer storyteller in both Tamil and English at the Bukit Panjang Library, Queenstown Library & at Tampines Library over the last year.
