  • Discover the bizarre world of the mangroves and its denizens!
  • Explore what life on the edge between land and sea is like and what it takes to survive there.
  • Find out about Sungei Buloh's importance as one of the last remaining mangrove forests in Singapore and stop-over place for migratory birds.

Tour synopsis:

Life in the mangroves is influenced by the rhythm of the tides. This roughly 2.5-hour tour introduces you to the mangrove ecosystem and provides insights into the various adaptations plants and animals have developed to eke out a living in this rather harsh environment. You will have an opportunity to observe typical denizens of the mangroves, such as tree-climbing crabs, mudskippers or monitor lizards close up. And with a bit of luck, you may even spot one of the resident crocodiles there!
