How does one find one’s centre in the world today? Find out how to write yourself into a state of wellbeing with author Desmond Kon

About this event

How does one find one’s centre in the world today? Are there effective ways to help us understand our own self and life station?

One important way is to write ourselves into a state of wellbeing. Our inner creativity can help us discover aspects of ourselves we seem to have forgotten, ignored or neglected. Through our own memory and introspection, we become comfortable intimating with our past, our habits, our desires, our values, our aspirations—our very personhood. Indeed, expressive writing can help build positive feeling and meaning in our lives, as we reacquaint with our inner heart and mind.

Join award-winning author Desmond Kon in this workshop, where we understand how to write ourselves into better wellbeing, to experience the healing power of words.

This workshop is suitable for those aged 18 and above who would like to reacquaint with their inner selves through expressive writing.

This programme will be conducted via the Zoom platform. Participants do not need a Zoom account to take part in the workshop.

Kinokuniya members, AFCC 2021 festival pass holders and past Academy programmes participants can enjoy 10% off the workshop fee for this programme. Please contact programmes@bookcouncil.sg for the discount code before online registration.

For enquiries, please email programmes@bookcouncil.sg
