Notorious to be a fast-paced, rigorous challenging and highly structured type of yoga that is sure raise one's heart rate, Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga is such an incredibly powerful tool to help calm the mind and tune the body when approached with sensitivity and wisdom.

Through regular and consistent practice of asanas (the physical practice of yoga), we can achieve a deep sense of contentment and inner peace through apparent physical and mental changes as we gain a strong and healthy mind and body.

As we bring our body and sense organs to a state of stability and heightened awareness, we can steady and gain control our minds, stilling into a state of focus, clarity and peace.

The sound philosophy behind, as well as the method of practice taught in Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga, certainly helps one to develop a routine of self-discipline, facilitating a daily yoga and meditation practice.

The Ashtanga Method incorporates deep, even breathing and steady gazing with continuously flowing, prescribed movements (Vinyasa), which promotes increased flexibility, toned and strengthened muscles with improved blood circulation, and to say the least, a profound effect on the steadiness and calmness of the mind.

13:30h 15:30h Session 3: Fundamental Standing Postures of Ashtanga Primary Series II (6 Asanas)
