Event description
Singapore Conference: The Key To Developing Social Interest in Children w Autism - Early Intervention Date: June 27 2020, 9:30 - 4:30pm

About this Event

Overview:

Social communication deficits are commonly identified in children with Autism and many individuals with Autism are facing different types of social challenges every day. In addition, relatively limited attention has been devoted to the social aspect during the early years of intervention despite it being the key to optimal outcomes for children with Autism (ASD).

Due to its complexity, social skills are extremely difficult to teach. A comprehensive early intervention plan should encourage the use of natural and balanced social interactions where social opportunities are initiated by the child.

Drawing from over 45 years of research and clinical application of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Dr. Leaf will share the strategies that Autism Partnership has developed over decades that has helped individuals with Autism (ASD) maximize their progress and quality of lives. This includes developing social interest at a young age and having meaningful relationships with others.
