About the speakers
Carrie Nooten is Founder and CEO of TopoTogo. In the media industry for 15 years - first as a journalist (France 24 TV, Radio France) and then as a production company founder - Carrie is now the CEO of TopoTogo, a suite of mobile city guides for the next generations of independent travellers. Since late 2014, she has successfully launched a travel guide for Kids & Parents to make family travels easier and is now focusing on TopoTogo Explore&Play, an app targeting Asian Global Tourists.
Anna Haotanto is the CEO of The New Savvy and Director at Tera Capital, a private investment firm. Anna is the President of the Singapore Mangement University Women Alumni, part of the founding committee of the Singapore FinTech Association and heads the Women In Tech and Partnership committee.She was nominated and selected for FORTUNE Most Powerful Women conference in 2016 (Asia) and 2015 (San Francisco, Next Gen).Anna has single-handedly raised a mid-six figure funding for The New Savvy within 2 years of operation. She regularly teaches and mentors children and adults on financial prudence and investments, facilitating their ability to be better informed when making financial decisions. Anna is also involved in various charities supporting women and children causes. She was one of the main donors in the building of a library for underprivileged female students.
Carol Chen has been called an "International Style Icon" by E! News and a "Rising Star" by San Francisco Fashion Week, Carol has launched 4 startups in 4 countries and is currently the Founder of Singapore’s first fashion rental marketplace, Covetella. A native Texan, Carol was selected as one of the 100 Asian delegates to attend the Global Entrepreneurship Summit hosted by President Obama and was a finalist on Channel NewsAsia’s reality show, ‘START-UP’. She also won 1st place at the regional Marketing Events Awards and has been invited to be a guest speaker at Google, INSEAD, and the Young Founders School.Carol studied psychology and economics at Columbia University, fashion design at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising, and business at the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
Jacqueline Ye is a Co-Founder of Delegate, an online marketplace for event services. She heads up User Acquisition and Community Building and is the main driver of Delegate’s strategy and growth. Under Jacqueline’s leadership, Delegate has managed to capture a significant userbase and market share since the launch of the platform in August 2015. Jacqueline met Co-Founder Melissa while running Business Development and Marketing for a luxury group. She read Finance at Australian National University.
Su Anne Mi is a Co-Founder of The Great Room. She is an entrepreneur with an apparel business, and together with her husband ran successful food trucks in the US. She graduated from New York University with degrees in Environmental Science and Psychology. Previously, she worked in business development and marketing for two innovative clean tech startups in the US, instrumenting deals with the US Department of Defense, BP and Paramount Pictures. She is LEED accredited and has worked on green building projects, including spearheading a plan for NYU to become energy efficient across 15 million square feet of building space. She is keen to bring her passion for entrepreneurship and environmental stewardship to Singapore’s rapidly evolving work-scape.
