About the Trainer

Jun Lee is a registered Art Therapist (AThR) and Social Worker (RSW). Through her many years of work in various settings, she has accumulated a wealth of experience from helping people from all walks of life, from the very young to the elderly. She first worked as a social worker in a Family Service Centre (FSC) and was involved in counselling, school social work and facilitating group works. As a FSC social worker, she helped developed a psychosocial toolkit for children with relationship issues. She facilitated both Streetwise and Guidance Programmes for youth offenders mandated by the Police and the Court to attend. After completing her Master’s in art therapy, she has worked with different family service centres, schools, associations and hospitals.

As an Art Therapist, Jun has facilitated individual, group and open studio art therapy sessions. In community settings, she has been effectively using art to help her clients who had experienced difficulties with adjustments to life issues, e.g. divorces, family/work/school stresses, death of loved ones, etc. In mental health settings, she works with patients suffering from various medical issues including diabetes, dementia, stroke, cancer, etc. Apart from helping her patients cope with their medical conditions, she also collaborated with multidisciplinary teams in hospitals, including doctors, nurses, psychologists, occupational and physiotherapists, to administer art therapy as a rehabilitative approach or as part of a treatment programme.
