About Therapeutic Sand Art Jamming
This workshop takes on a modern approach to Rangoli art and involves a fun and therapeutic expressive sand art jamming. In this 1.5 hour workshop, be quickly introduced to the meaning and cultural significance of Rangoli art and its contemporary practise in today’s context. Learning and gaining an appreciation, participants are encouraged to draw and create patterns and motifs inspired by nature, and to innovate and create their own modern Rangoli art on a board with drawing and colouring tools provided. Half of the session will include therapeutic music and light sand art jamming where the participants will be guided on basic sand art techniques and are encouraged to create a few sand artworks on their own. Embracing the practise of mindfulness in Rangoli practise, participants create modern Rangoli in their sand art exploration and jamming and are encouraged to snap shots and tag their creations for sharing! Participants will bring home their modern Rangoli drawing and colouring artwork, but would not be able to bring home the sand art.
